Talent Acquisition Partnerships
We have created talent acquisition partnerships with several organizations to conduct multiple searches under a single contract. We have built new departments and teams with this approach. Some examples of our work include:
- Environmental Defense Fund (EDF) – a leading national nonprofit, founded in 1967, that links science, economics, and law to create innovative, equitable and cost-effective solutions to society’s most urgent environmental problems
CEA has partnered extensively with EDF’s Human Resources department to recruit senior leadership and mid-level staff across the organization. CEA has been retained by EDF to implement the full, start-to-finish recruitment process from assessing organizational needs and developing candidate profiles to identifying leaders within the environmental field and successfully placing several candidates. CEA has successfully recruited staff for a wide range of roles, such as Associate Vice Presidents and Director-level positions and analyst and research-oriented positions. CEA partnered with EDF to fill a suite of positions in the Oceans Programs simultaneously.
- EDF Climate Corps Fellowship Program – an innovative summer fellowship program that places specially-trained graduate students in organizations as dedicated energy problem solvers
Climate Corps is Environmental Defense Fund’s innovative summer fellowship program that places specially-trained graduate students in companies, cities and universities across the country and in China to act as dedicated energy problem solvers. EDF Climate Corps fellows have found an average of $1 million in energy savings for each participating host organization. CEA Recruiting partners with EDF Climate Corps to interview and place their fellows. Each year, CEA Recruiting reviews over 700 applications, interviews over 325 potential fellows, and places 118 fellows into nearly as many organizations to work on unique energy efficiency projects.
- ClimateWorks Foundation – a global, philanthropic network supporting public policies that prevent dangerous climate change and catalyze sustainable global prosperity
Founded in 2008, ClimateWorks supports public policies that prevent dangerous climate change and catalyze sustainable global prosperity. Since the organization launched, CEA Recruiting has helped build teams within ClimateWorks, hiring a range of positions including program officers, the CFO, communications staff, development staff, research staff, and support personnel. In addition to recruiting for ClimateWorks, CEA spearheaded staffing strategy for the organization, including the development of hiring plans, compensation standards, and ongoing talent management.
- MyHealthDIRECT (MHD) – a venture funded health care technology organization that provides an innovative browser-based platform that connects members and patients to healthcare providers at the most appropriate level of care
CEA was hired to partner with MyHealthDIRECT soon after it received its first round of venture funding, part of which was allocated towards hiring multiple staff at various levels. CEA was immediately tasked with hiring MHD’s executive team in sales, client services, and government relations. Once the executive team was in place, CEA recruited multiple staff for each team, transitioning the startup from a team of four to over twenty employees in less than two years.
