Biography

Marta is CEA’s Finance and Operations Associate. She joined CEA in 2017 while in the MBA/Sustainable Business program at San Francisco State University. She also has a BS in ecology and natural resources from Rutgers University. Marta has a strong interest in developing efficiencies tailored to employee and firm needs.

Prior to joining CEA, Marta worked with local agencies and the National Park Service on a number of conservation projects, including mapping invasive species, rehabilitating wild animals, and monitoring air and water quality. Marta’s appreciation of nature comes in part from her travels: she spent childhood summers in Venezuela and England, she studied for a semester in Australia, and she has traveled through the Balkans and China. She’s also a pretty good sheep wrangler, a skill she picked up at her family’s farm in North Carolina.
